Raymond Wong

Raymond Wong is a celebrated Peranakan kebaya artisan honoured with the Stewards of Intangible Cultural Heritage Award by Singapore’s National Heritage Board in 2023 for his mastery in beadwork, embroidery, and the art of Peranakan kebaya-making. With nearly two decades of dedication, he has imparted his expertise through workshops, notably at LASALLE, and innovated the craft by blending traditional techniques with contemporary methods. Each kebaya he creates is both cultural emblem and wearable heritage.
